The short version
We run a website. When you send a request, we pass it to one independent tree care provider that serves Saginaw County. That company calls or emails you, prices the job, and does the work if you hire them. We are not a tree service, we don't employ arborists or climbers, and we don't have a local yard or office.
Saginaw Tree Quotes is operated by Malachi VerWys.
How we make money
The provider we refer you to may pay us a monthly or per-request fee for being the company we send requests to. You pay us nothing. The provider's price to you is between you and them. We think you should know about that relationship before you talk to them, which is why it's on every page.
Why one provider and not five?
Many "get quotes" sites sell the same request to several companies, which usually means several calls in a few minutes. We send yours to one. If you'd like a second opinion, it's reasonable to get one elsewhere, and we won't take it personally.
What we ask of the provider
- Proof of general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage where the law requires it.
- Written estimates for customers.
- Following MISS DIG procedures on any work that disturbs the ground.
- Following the DNR's oak pruning calendar.
We don't supervise the work and can't guarantee price, schedule, or results. Ask for proof of insurance before work starts.
Where the information on this site comes from
The tree health, safety, and permit information here comes from public sources: the Michigan DNR, Michigan State University, USDA Forest Service research, the National Weather Service, the City of Saginaw, Michigan law on MISS DIG, and Consumers Energy safety guidance. We haven't made up any reviews, ratings, credentials, or "years in business," and we never will. If something is out of date, email contact@saginawtreequotes.com.
